There used to be a geocache up here, but it's been archived. I was able to pull this up from the previous cache description: "The original lookout was a 2-tree platform crow's nest built in 1915. A 30' pole L-4 tower was built in 1935 and then destroyed in 1962. Nothing is left of the lookout now, except for the cement block footings. Trees have grown up around the area and block any views of the surrounding area. Take forest road 377 north off of state highway 6 and follow the signs to East Dennis.There used to be a lookout up on East Dennis Mountain, but now all that remains are 4 cement blocks."
The trail that takes you up to the peak is a gradual climb and it is in pretty good shape. It is about a 1/2 mile from the parking area and you'll gain a little over 300 feet in elevation. This area is also part of the Palouse Divide Ski area and skiers & snowshoers frequent this area in the winter.
