Geocache Description:

A three stage multi in a nature preserve requiring a short hike that includes some hills.

The 1960’s was a fascinating period in America’s history. There were many significant events that are still influencing the current political and cultural landscape. This cache is dedicated to the sixties – a decade of change.

A short list of the significant events or changes include: the Civil Rights Movement, the rise of feminism, the space race, the New Frontier and the Great Society, Vietnam, hippies, and the loss of JFK, MLK, & RFK.

Many of these events are reflected in the evolution of music in the 60’s. From the Motown sound through folk songs and psychedelic rock, music was a mirror that reflected the changes occurring in America.

This cache has three stages. The first two stages are micros. They contain information about the 60’s and the coordinates for the next stage. The last stage is a regular cache.

Your reward for finding the final stage is a two-CD set of 48 songs from this time period. Each of the songs were either a #1 hit or considered a major influence on the music genre (plus one song that has special meaning to the cache owners). Feel free to take a CD set. Don't worry about leaving a trade item for the CDs. Enjoy!

Congrats to oldboyhiker as the FTF!
