I thought it would be nice to add a bit of additional fun for the geocachers who are participating in the 2021 Get Out Challenge. The search for this cache will bring you to an awesome view. I highly recommend bringing a lunch to eat at the top. To get to the trailhead , head out like you are going to Port aux Basques. Once you hit TCH 1, it is approximately 8.5 km to turn left on Lodege Rd. ( I set the trip planner on my vehicle at beginning of TCH 1 ). Travel Lodge Rd for about 2.2 km. You can park at a makeshift dirt parking lot and walk back a few metres to see the trail sign. Once on the trail you will find it is well marked. The climb is steep but the ropes help. Might also want to bring along a pair gloves and a hiking pole. Fly repellant if it is a hot day in summer. The pole is most helpful on the way down. The cache is medium sized and you will need to wander about at the top to find it. it includes a FTF prize, a log for signing and some trinkets for trading. Remember to put the cover back on tightly and tuck it back in its original spot. I had thought there would be a cache or two on this trail but mine will be the first. You're right , it is hidden among some rocks ( just not the man /woman made rock pile) !!!! Enjoy the hike and the search.
