The third year of Christmas in this area, and the Christmas trees have had another big year of growth, so it is looking very Christmassy here. There are various access routes, but we parked in the Five Mile Beach parking area and walked to GZ along the various very sandy tracks. Alternatively, if the tide allows, you can walk along the beach for a while and then access the tracks. We don't recommend just following your gps needle, but it is up to you!
You can stay on tracks until you are within about 120m of the cache, then you will have to pick a route amongst the fir trees and their debris (bits of dead fir tree). If you choose to take the straight line route you may have more clambering to do. There is no clear straight entry route. Once near GZ, search beneath the most Christmassy tree. When you find the cache, select a Christmas trinket - no need to swap if you don't have any swaps on you, have a Christmas gift on us! If you do swap, no need to stay with the Christmas theme.
Happy Christmas from our geocaching team to yours.
