Geocache Description:

This is a series of caches placed along the old road from Cashel to Malinmore. The route takes you high above the main road and gives some stunning views over Glenhead and to Rathlin O'Birne island and beyond.

There is ample parking on the Cashel end and some roadside parking close by the Malinmore end. The route can also be accessed from the Folk Village museum but you will need to back track to complete the series. It is not possible to drive the entire route although you can get part of the way easily. You might want to consider teaming up so you can leave a car at either end to avoid having to return along the way.  Please keep dogs on a lead at all times as there are sheep on the mountain and make sure to close any gates along the route.

This would have been the most wonderful place to live. Just imagine what it would have been like to wake up to that view every morning but I think that when the cottage would have been inhabited times would not have been very conducive to admiring the view. People were extremely poor and survival would have been the most important thing on their minds.

Cache is a nano.
