Geocache Description:

This cache was originally placed for the the First State Challenge 2016 sponsored by Delaware Geocachers! Although the challenge has ended, this cache is still available to be found!

FSC-2016 DASEF Outpost at Smyrna

Cache Details:
Park at DASEF Outpost Parking and walk past Greenhouse to enter the woods for 200 foot bushwhack with some thorns. Afterwards there is pirate ship for kids, butterfly garden, nature trail and scaled planet walk.

If gate is closed to Outpost, you are permitted to walk in from close by Big Oak parking.

NOTE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 22 FROM 1-6PM DASEF HAS FAMILY DAY EVENTS WITH $5 ADMISSION. BEST NOT TO VISIT THEN!


Description:
The Environmental Outpost was built by the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation in 2007, and it now provides astronomical and environmental programs by appointment. These offerings make use of a new facility, trails, marsh walkways, and the surrounding 90 acres of Big Oak County Park.
