This cache should not be very hard to find. To begin the short hike to the cache, park in the lower parking lot of Simmons Middle School located at:
N 33 23.135
W 086 49.932
Enter the Moss Rock Nature Preserve, and follow the directions to the coordinates of the cache. You will have to cross a stepping stone bridge across a creek. If you get to the first wooden bridge along the trail, you’ve gone too far. The cache is contained in a green ammo box slightly covered with leaves located at:
N 33 23.160
W 086 50.136
You should see the rock shelf for which this cache is named for. It is less than 30 feet off of the trail. Please leave the cache in the same location if you find it, remembering to cover it with leaves, leaving at least a corner showing.
