Geocache Description:

A small cache placed in Marbury Country Park in Cheshire. It is one of a series of four caches entitled “Anthology“. Inside the log book are part of the coordinates for the final mystery cache “Bridge over troubled water”.

Parking is available at the park at N53° 16. 965 W002° 31. 235 for a charge from 9am until 8pm from April to September and 9am until 5pm from October to March. There’s free parking NE of Northwich, at Witton Mill at N53° 16. 142 W002° 30. 378. This is a lovely area with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. There’s a picnic area, play park, bird hides and lots of good paths to take you around. For further details check http://www.northwichcommunitywoodlands.org.uk/aboutus.shtml From either car park follow the paths to a park bench at N53° 16. 754 W002° 30. 697. This park bench, near to the canal, is where we often see two elderly gentlemen and their dogs. They live locally and walk into the park from different directions to meet up here on this bench. After finding the cache maybe you could take some time-out and reflect on friendships old - and new. "Old friends, old friends Sat on their park bench like bookends" This series of caches is based on songs written by Paul Simon. His lyrics and music are a poetry which have been a backcloth of life for many people over the last five decades - and still having meaning today.
