A MEET AND GREET REPEAT
New Location and Time This Year!
Former Greenfield Public Library,
7215 W. Cold
Spring, Greenfield, Wisconsin
Saturday January 9th, 2009
4pm - 7pm
Come enjoy GR8 fun, GR8 fellowship, and your GR8
geocaching family!
Take a short break from all the hustle and bustle
and shoveling.
Have a snack (please bring something to share
(finger food only, please as we have no kitchen available at this
new location) while sharing holiday stories and your newly made new
year’s resolutions. What better way to celebrate the Holidays than
with a group of friends and fellow geocachers gathered around a
pile of rewrapped gifts. Have you been considering your Most
Interesting Christmas Gifts??? Here’s a fun way to exchange those
items.
The geocaching style re-gifting or white elephant
exchange starts at 5pm.
- If you plan on
joining in on the re-gifting exchange, there are a few simple rules
to follow…
- Bring in something
that you have gotten as a gift, that doesn’t quite suit you, or
that you have multiples of.
- Wrap it. But, do
not put anyone's name on it (not even your own). Don’t tell anyone
what it is.
- One gift per team
or geocacher (when you arrive, someone will be accepting the gifts
and handing out a ticket for the exchange).
- The order of
re-gift selection will be done randomly. When your name is
called...you have the option of choosing a gift from the pile, or
stealing someone else’s gift from them (this will cause them to
choose another one).
- Once a gift has
been stolen 3 times, it's dead and no longer in play and gets to be
kept by that player. Who knows you might end up with what you
brought in the first place!
Event Caches
Temporary and pocket caches will
be hidden. New nearby
permanent caches may be available weather
permitting.
A Travel Bug Exchange area will be available
too.
Cache page: text by GR8 Eyes and the rest by Dr.
Dolittle. The event location is being graciously provided by the
Greenfield Parks and Recreation Department-many thanks to them!
