Geocache Description:

How about we CITO along the St. John's and Long Bluff???? How wet can it REALLY get????

Where: Tosohatchee WMA

When: 11/05/17 9:00-10:00AM

Who: At minimum I will be there

Why: Human's tend to throw debris on the ground so we can feel good about ourselves cleaning it up

This CITO is located within the Tosohatchee Wildlife Management Area. It is NOT accessible directly from the 528. The entrance to Wildlife Management Area is at N 28 29.902, W 80 59.915 where there is a small fee to enter the area at the self pay station for cash. Visitors should be aware of seasonal hunting and must abide by all area regulations while on the area. Please visit http://myfwc.com/viewing/recreation/name/ for more information. Located within the Tosohatchee WMA near the St John's river. Visitors should be aware of seasonal hunting and must abide by all area regulations while on the area. At the end of Powerline Road is a scenic parking area. Be advised that St Johns River can rise as much as 6 to 8 feet during the rainy season. At times this area could be under water, oh you know, like probably in October. This is also a hotspot for wildfires during the dry season. And there are alligators in the water and snakes anywhere. Use your noggin' and don't get bit.

We will meet at the parking coordinates and it is up to you where you decide to venture off. There are trails north and south of parking along the St. John's River that should provide ample opportunity for photos and debris that is along the banks. I'll provide the bags, the good scented ones, and a pat on the back when you are done. Bring some water for the hour and whatever else you find yourself doing after the CITO. Toso is a rather larger area and what seems like short distances between caches or areas is probably longer than you think. The trails tend to meander as well so plan accordingly and see you then.
