****Fellow cacher, GratefulMike, has written his take on this
cache (and its companion cache). Click
Here to read his excellent work.****
The actual cache is located within ten miles of the posted
coordinates. This cache has a difficulty level of five because it
will take some skill to understand the code.
The cache has been hidden on private property with permission.
If you are asked about what you are doing, please tell them you are
geocaching and that you have permission from Robert to be there.
That should satisfy them. There may be hunters in the area at
times, please be respectful of their season and try not to disturb
them.
Since the cache is on private land and I don't want you
trespassing while searching for the correct coordinates I've
provided an intermediate step for you. The correct coordinates will
lead you to a spot by the side of a road. Please park at this spot
and walk to the final location. There is a path along the field
near by that will take you pretty much to the cache. Please stay on
the path as much as possible (you may find yourself needing to
bushwhack a little). It is a .71 mile walk from the parking spot to
the final location. It's a nice walk and you will likely see some
wildlife.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND: You have permission to walk from this
location to the cache. You do not have permission to drive or to
enter from any other location. It's not that bad of a walk and
besides you won't be carrying this:
The cache container is the VERY large ammo can painted purple
with yellow trim (why not?). I've pictured it next to a smaller
ammo box so you get an idea of the size. UGH. It was a bear lugging
it back to the location! First finder prize is wrapped in Batman
wrapping paper. You can't miss it and you definitely deserve it!
ENJOY!
One final word: There are no hints for this cache. Do not
email me and ask me for a hint. Do not instant message (IM) me for
a hint. If you know my phone number, do not call me and ask me for
a hint. Do not stop me on the street and ask for a hint. No hints
will be given. If you wonder why I would do such a thing, just
consider the source.
