Enjoy a short hike overlooking Saskatchewan's famous artifical mountain - Mt. Blackstrap. Parking is easy in Thode at N 51.47.097 and W 106.27.129. The drive presents a great vista of the prairie horizon.
Could there be a better name for a cache overlooking this engineering marvel? Enjoy a climb of about 100 feet as you admire the 1971 artifical mountain created for the Canada Winter Games. Did you know that Mt. Blackstrap is the longest,steepest ski/snowboard run in the province?
You are looking for an ammo can filled with many trading goodies including a FTF certificate and unactivated personal geocoin(pilot172 & dogs) and a runner up STF prize. Watch for the trees which may limit accuracy and ATVs on the trails. Great spot for bird watching and launching your fishing boat or canoe!
