I was introduced to Island Lake State Recreation Area many years ago by my SCUBA club, the Ford Sea Lancers. I thought I knew the park but now realize I knew Spring Mill Pond as that's where we maintained the swim area buoys and dove on a regular basis. Geocaching has introduced me to the rest of the park. This cache is my attempt to introduce others to the wonders of this beautiful park.
This is a gorgeous place to view and access Island Lake be it for swimming, fishing or other water related activities. & yes, see your recreation passport dollars at work. Please be conscious of muggles and use stealth and ingenuity to find and return the cache safely.
