A Scene Along the Trail
A Walk in the Park – Tom Snow Trail
Series are regular sized matchstick containers with only a
cache note and log, so please be sure to bring along a writing
instrument. Each of the caches in the series can be found a few
meters off the main trail in a winter friendly caching location. Be
sure to bring along adequate hiking supplies as the turnaround
point is about 5 – 7 km south of the trailhead.
Please be gentle with the containers and do not over tighten the
tops (just a nice snug seal) as they might crack in the colder
weather. Come out and enjoy a lesser travelled trail!
About the Tom Snow Trail
The Tom Snow Trail is approximately 20 km in length and starts
at the Station Flats parking lot on Highway 66 and takes you back
along the highway towards the bridge over the Elbow River near the
Allen Bill Pond. A section of the trail can be extremely wet at
different times of the year. The west end of the trail is at the
Dawson PRA, which can also be accessed year-round.
