Geocache Description:

Located at McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Easy terrain, accessible
from trail.

One of four caches at McKinney Roughs Nature Park, this one will have you walking through the post-oak/blackjack oak plant community. Not a rough hike at all, edge your way along the ridge above the box canyons that cut through the park. You must check in at the park headquarters and obtain a trail map before hiking the trails.

The fee is $5 per person (12 and under are free). Park hours are 8AM - 5 PM Monday through Sunday.

Take time to enjoy the displays at the Visitors’ Center and the Demonstration Garden at this beautiful LCRA park-- deep in the heart of Central Texas. The cache is in an ammo box, containing a log book, pencil, items to trade, as well as a description of this specific area. Be sure to replace the cache carefully, as this trail is the most heavily-used in the park. This cache is placed with the park’s permission.
