WWFM VIII
This is a "Flash Mob" event!
A "Flash Mob" event is a Gathering of Geocachers, Lasting only 15 minutes! Cachers arrive at a predetermined location at exactly a predetermined time and perform an activity (Usually Something Silly) then disperse after 15 Minutes.
"WWFM" stands for the World Wide Flash Mob event:
When hundreds of events take place all around the World, Coordinated to happen at the same time to bring together geocachers and introduce others (newbies) to geocaching.

Location : POSTED COORDINATES
To log the cache, bring a piece of paper with your geocaching name or your real name pre-printed on it, and drop it in the bucket at Ground Zero. One piece of paper per person, even if they share a geocaching name to make counting easier.
There will be a drawing for FTF Honors
and also for a Geocoin

The event will begin precisely at 2:00pm on June 4, 2011 and will last EXACTLY fifteen minutes, not one second longer.
EVENT SCHEDULE
It is recommend that you arrive with enough time to spare to find a parking spot and then make your way to GZ. Remember to pretend you are a non-cacher, and to act like you don't know any of the other geocachers present until the event actually begins!
1:59 PM - Make your way to the designated event coordinates shown above. Keep acting like you know no one.
2:00 PM exactly - At exactly 2:00 PM as determined by the GPS clock, a whistle will be blown to signify the start of the flash mob. You are to immediately converge on the area for the official event. To qualify for attendance, drop your personal log sheet in the designated bucket (near the coordinates).
2:03 PM - We will gather and take a group photo.
2:08 PM - Eat the 'Official WWFM Snack Food' (a Hershey Kiss - Kisses supplied)
2:09 PM - We will draw a name from the pool of log sheets for the title of First to Find (which wins a Special Prize!) and draw for the door prizes.
2:14 PM - One minute warning is called. Clean up and prepare to leave.
1:15 PM - LEAVE the area immediately! AMSCRAY and SKEDADDLE! Log entries sealed and closed. If you missed the signing and the photo, you missed the event.

What's Expected of You
Follow the schedule above
Bring a personal log sheet, one per person, with your geocaching name or your real name pre-printed on it. (A piece of paper about 4" x 1" works great so does a a Post-It-Note or a 3x5 card).
In your "Will Attend" log please post the projected number in your group.
Log your attendance at geocaching.com within 2 weeks of the event.

Rumor has it that there will also be a special WWFM souvenir from Groundspeak.

just remember, we are to leave the immediate area promptly at 2:15 PM!!!
