The Long Branch Saloon, operating from 1874 to 1885, was a famous saloon in Dodge City, Kansas. Despite its short lifespan, the saloon had a number of owners; one owner was Luke Short, a friend of Wyatt Earp.
As was common in saloons of the time, the establishment provided live entertainment, "liquid refreshments" and gambling. It was the scene of fights and shootouts, which were common in the rough and rowdy cattle towns of the Old West.
