Geocache Description:

A GeoMob intercache.

Ever hear of seeing how many people you can stuff into a phone booth? Or a VW bug? This will be similar, but a heck of a lot less intimate.

Many of you have been to a flash mob event.
You all get there at a certain time, sign the log, and leave a few minutes later.
Unfortunately, if the Flashmob is held at a time that is inconvenient for you, you're out of luck.
This is the same idea - get 5 people at a specified location at the same time (all using smart phones), and then the coordinates for the cache are revealed.


Posted coordinates are at a good parking area, but it may not be available at night.

◊Go to the posted coordinates, or somewhere in the general area (depending on how far you want to walk).
◊Open www.chilehead.us/mob/ on your phone.
◊Verify that the accuracy displayed is reasonable (hopefully less than 40 feet or so).
◊You are not at the mob co-ordinates, it's a short walk from the posted co-ordinates.
◊When prompted, enter the number 1153.
◊This will open a screen that will navigate you to the "GeoMob" co-ordinates.
◊The navigation arrow is not quite the same as a typical GoTo arrow, so pay close attention.
◊Once the website verifies you are at the GeoMob location, the counter bumps up.
◊The GeoMob location is not 'dropped-item' friendly-secure your goods and hold on tightly to your phone!
◊When the counter reaches the required mob size (5), the coordinates for the final cache container are revealed.
◊Enter the co-ordinates into your GPS right away, or write them down!
◊If people leave the mob area, the page you are looking at may not continue to show the co-ordinates (it takes a minute).

Please preserve the spirit of this GeoMob by not disclosing the coordinates of the Final location to those who do not meet as a group as intended.
