My first puzzle - Secret Squirrel has been goading me to set one
for some time, so blame him! The ACT clearly needs more puzzles…
There is a special sequence of numbers based on a ubiquitous
ratio, equally important to significant works of art (such as with
Leonardo da Vinci, Salvador Dali and Piet Mondrian) as it is to
many arrangements and shapes in nature (such as with pinecones,
ferns, sunflowers and seashells). Well understood by architects and
mathematicians alike, special instances of geometric shapes are
said to be golden if they possess this ratio, such as with
rectangles, pyramids, and of course, spirals.
Based on this sequence, the coordinates of my natural spiral can
be derived from the following:
S(9+2)deg (8-1).(15+7+2)
E(12+5)deg (5).(14+10+3)
The key to this puzzle is the sequence. Remember it is a special
spiral in plain view, so there is no need to rummage in the bushes
or leaf litter.
Difficulty is two for the puzzle, and an extra one for the cammo.
Checksums are S22 and E30.
A non-magnetic nano, so BYO pen.
