Geocache Description:


A cache placed to commerate an auspicious date, 2012 2012 and a family wedding at a nearby establishment.



Garryvoe Strand is a Blue Flag beach, one of East Corks finest and during the summer months this area can be thronged with holiday makers and day trippers alike.

The cache has not been placed in the rocks that help form the sea defences as during storms these are regularly breached by waves when driven by high winds. Just look at the amount of sand and debris on the roadway and car park if in doubt.

From the GZ you should be able to see several of the local amenities and you will (on a clear day) be able to see Ballycottons famous black lighthouse on Ballycotton Island keeping a watchful ever present eye on the cache.
