This cache is part of our Story County cemetery series of geocaches. This cache is winter friendly and if they plow the paved path in here, you should be able to get pretty close to GZ during the winter. If not, you should be able to walk back to the hiding spot. Cache itself is winter-friendly. Watch for muggles in the area (across the road to the south). Please feel free to explore the grounds but also be mindful and respectful of the property.
South St. Petri Cemetery is located in Section 34 of Lafayette Township, Story County, Iowa. There isn't a lot of information readily available online about this cemetery, but I do know a few people in the area that told me there used to be a Lutheran church of the same name adjacent to the cemetery (not sure which direction).
