Geocache Description:

CAMPERDOWN PARK
is a 640 acre park gifted to Admiral Adam Duncan following his victory at the Battle of Camperdown in 1797. The mansion house, which took four years to build, was built by his son Robert Dundas. It became the seat of the Duncan family until 1937. The house and estate were bought by Dundee Corporation in 1946. The house is currently undergoing renovation funded by a lottery grant.

The park includes a Wildlife Centre, children’s adventure play park, tennis courts, pitch and putt, golf course, ponds, woodland walks and large open spaces. The massively popular Dundee Flower and Food Festival is one of the many events held annually at Camperdown Park.

There are only a few puzzle and multi-caches in Dundee, so I thought it was time to add one of my own. Depending on your point of view, this may or may not be a bit more challenging than some other caches.

You need to solve a puzzle to find the final cache.

But you don't need to be able to solve the puzzle to solve this puzzle.

If you can't solve the puzzle by traditional means, you can solve it by using logic, and some grey matter - no vandalism PLEASE!!!

Some people can solve this puzzle in only a few seconds (the world record is 7.08 seconds). Others can solve it in a few minutes, others take hours, and others can take days, weeks, or even months and still not solve it.

Fortunately, you don't need to solve all of the puzzle. Just enough to take you to the final cache - which is where the log book is. You haven't found the cache until you've signed the log book.

Please leave the puzzle in the condition you found it, after all, you wouldn't dream of making it too easy for the next cacher - would you?

This cache is a 400ml lock and lock container located along part of the woodland walk. The nearest car park is the north car park, accessed from Coupar Angus Road. There is a large Monkey Puzzle tree here at the park entrance, which is on a bit of a blind bend.

The final cache is a larger container stuffed with goodies. To log a find you must sign the log book which is in the FINAL location. Please do not log a find if you haven't signed the log book.
