The Rally is Coming – The Rally is Coming!

June 15 & 16, Carson City/Virginia City, NV

The 4th annual GBES Geocaching & Navigational Rally takes a bold step forward this year by stepping back in time.

Besides exploring the deserts and mountains of northwestern Nevada, we’ll also explore the rich history of Virginia City and Carson City and other historic mining districts.

But, let’s face it: the rally is about adventure and that is just what we’re going to give you.

We’ll take you to ridgeline drives and vistas that will give you views of Reno, Carson City, Virginia City, Washoe Lake, and the deserts east of the Comstock that you will remember for the rest of your life.

As in previous years, you may log this event by entering the rally, attending the Saturday morning breakfast or the Saturday night awards banquet, or by just cheering on your favorite team from the Start/Finish Line.

New this year for the rally: the night rally is becoming a twilight rally. We’ll begin on Friday at 5 instead of 8 giving teams a chance to regain their rally-legs before it gets dark. The first leg of the Friday rally will also include a tutorial for those who have never entered the GBES rally, which will also act as a refresher course for veteran teams.

The waypoint listed above is a general location. As with previous rallies, Start/Finish Lines, breakfast, Rally HQ and awards banquet will be in various locations and will be listed on this page as the locations are confirmed.

The difficulty rating reflects the rally course and not the breakfast or dinner.

Rally Headquarters will be the Super 8 Motel in Carson City; 775-883-7800.
