Geocache Description:

Scottish Rite Treasure Geocache!

This cache is located on the property of the House of the Temple, the headquarters of the Supreme Council, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, USA.

Located at 1733 Sixteenth Street, NW in the District of Columbia, this monumental building in the nation’s capital has been the national headquarters of the Supreme Council since 1915. The Grand Lodge of the District of Columbia laid the cornerstone in 1911, and the building was completed in 1915. Its architecture is an adaptation of the famous Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the “Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.”

This is a microcache. There is no need to enter the gardens or dig through the bushes to score this find. The cache is accessible from the sidewalk. Bring your own pen and a pair of tweezers to extract the log book.

A secret message hidden inside cache leads to a Masonic Treasure item. When you find the cache, locate the secret phrase written on the log. After signing the log and returning the cache, come inside the House of the Temple during tour hours and tell the staff the secret phrase to receive a Scottish Rite geocache prize.
