The lovely village of Brynrefail is a quiet gem just the other end of the lake from the busy Llanberis. With beautiful views up the valley to Snowdon and the back of the Glyders it is worth a visit to enjoy the rugged rural walks.
This geocache is best enjoyed whilst exploring the lovely village and the surrounding countryside. We recommend parking in the village and travelling on foot. There are many geo caches in the area to make a circuit and if you are feeling adventurous (and suitably prepared) you could head up through Padarn country park to the Llanberis slates mines and the Glyders mountain range beyond. Please take care to replace the cache properly in its hiding place. There are residential houses in the area so be considerate especially if visiting in a large group. Not recommended for night geocaching.
