WWFM in Saint john
This is the fourth of the World Wide Flash Mob events sanctioned by
the Podcacher Podcast. If you have not been to one before, be sure
not to miss it. If you have then you know what fun they are. Find a
place to park and show up at exactly 2:00pm at the posted
coordinates. Nov 8 2008 Please act like a muggle until then. Use
the clock on your GPS to determine the correct time. This is a 15
minute event, and at 2:15 it will be over. Bring a piece of paper
to drop in the log bucket to show you were there. A meal(such as it
is) will be provided. Other details to follow soon. And there will
be a few prizes, and this will be the first in Saint John.....come
all to help me out for a great day....We will try to follow the
rules..LOL LOCAL RULES Arrive near the Gazebo prior to the start
time and have your signed "log sheet" ready to place in the event
cache container. We will all meet at EXACTLY 2:00 pm at the
designated 'Ground Zero’ and the event will close at exactly 2:15
pm! If you don't drop a log sheet in the container, you cannot log
the event!!!! If you arrive early, do NOT interact - stay in your
car or just act nonchalant!!! Sometime in that 15 minutes, you HAVE
to place your signed logsheet in the container, AND be present for
the group photo that will be taken at PRECISELY 2:12! There will be
a draw made after everyone has placed their names into the cache
container for an unactivated Travel Bug, and if anyone else out
there wants to donate something for a similar draw, feel free to
add something to the pot! Oh and a lunch fitting to the occasion
will be provided! Tell your friends and help promote the event!
There may be several muggles nearby who will wonder "What did I
just see? What just happened?" (That's part of the fun!) At 1:59PM
I will reach ground zero with the container, and start the event.
Everyone now makes their way to GZ. 2:00 PM - Sign the logbook.
Mingle; Trade travel bugs and coins; Share stories, Brag, Take
pictures. Make arrangements to meet elsewhere, or to find the
various caches in the nearby area. 2:07 PM - The event “banquet”
will be served! 2:10 PM - Prize draws 2:12 PM - Assemble for a
group photo. 2:14 PM - One minute warning is called "It is now
2:14!" Prepare to leave. 2:15 PM EXACTLY - Wait for it ... then
LEAVE the area (right at 2:15 PM)! Meet elsewhere if desired. If
everything goes right we will have lots of people coming out of
nowhere and gathering for 15 minutes, holding a Geocaching event
and then disappearing…This could be lots of fun and maybe even
raise a few muggle eyebrows!
