This geocache is hidden close to the Horombo hut on the Marango route about half way between the trail start at Marango and the probable goal for your trekking, the top of Kilimanjaro. The altitude is 3690 meters above sea level and you have a breathtaking view of both Kibo and Mawenzi from the cache site when the conditions are right.
The cache, a 0.4 liter plastic container with a blue lid, is put behind a couple of stones..
Note on cache maintenance: Friluftsfrämjandet is planning tours to Kilimanjaro at least twice a year and someone will look for the caches and either post a log or a note on the relevant cache page and indicate the condition of the cache.
