Geocache Description:

Near the summit of Pule Hill, a great viewpoint.

The quickest & steepest way is up the path from the minor road to the south.
There is a far more gentle ascent from the north.

Pule Hill sits at the head of the Colne Valley. The old turnpike road, now the A62 has to do a dogleg to get round it. Running underneath Pule Hill in a straight line are the Transpennine railway & the canal. The chimneys lower down Pule Hill mark their route.

Its a favourite haunt for the local parascenders. The crags also attract climbers - however usually one visit to Pule Hill Crags is enough for most people.

Down below are 2 pubs - the Carriage House & the Great Western, both set up to serve A62 through traffic before the M62 was built & still surviving. Nearby is Redbrook Reservoir.
