[Ro] Pe o suprafață de aproximativ 100 ha, în apropierea localității Săcel, în partea estică a Munților Rodnei, se întinde Rezervația Izvorul Albastru al Izei. Numit și Izbucul Izei, Izvorul Albastru al Izei se formează prin reapariția la suprafață a apelor intrate în subteran în Peștera Izei, aflată la circa 2km sud-vest. Denumirea acestei arii protejate geologice și peisagistice provine de la nuanța verzui-albăstruie a izvorului carstic, unul din afluenții de obârșie al râului Iza.
Acces: De pe DN17C, în punctul N47 38.242 E24 30.772 virăm spre sud-est pe un drum secundar. După 1.2 km ajungem la o intersecție unde asfaltul se termină: N47 37.984 E24 31.482. Cotim spre sud-vest pe un drum pietruit în stare acceptabilă la început, dar din ce în ce mai rău pe măsura ce înaintăm. Dacă nu sunteți cu o mașină cu garda înaltă, e mai bine să parcați unde găsiți loc. De la intersecție până la Izvorul Albastru al Izei avem de mers 5.3km cu o diferență de nivel de 300m.
[En] On a surface of approximately 100 acres, near the Săcel town, in the eastern part of the Rodnei Mountains, the Blue Water Spring of Iza Reservation is found. The Blue Spring of Iza is formed through the re-surface of the waters that went into the ground into the Cave of Iza, found at about 2km south-west. The name of this geological and landscape protected areas comes from the bluish-greenish karst water spring, one of the origins of the Iza river.
Access: From DN17C, at point N47 38.242 E24 30.772 we go towards south-east on a secondary road. After 1.2km we get to a crossroads where the asphalt ends: N47 37.984 E24 31.482. We go towards south-west on a causeway in an acceptable state, however the longer you will go the worse it will get. If you are not in a car with high clearance, it is better to park where you may find a suitable place. From the crossroads towards the Blue Spring of Iza we have to go for around 5.3km with a level difference of 300m.
