There is a nice parking spot with picnic areas laid out by the Forestry Commission at N 56° 24,175' W004° 54,175' Strone Hill.
This is the starting point of two woodland walks signposted in red and green.
You can combine the hunt for the cache with a pleasant walk; all in all it shouldn’t take more than one hour.
Start the walk by following the red sign into the waterfall woods; there is a viewpoint on the way for a glimpse at the waterfall. Afterwards, the red path joins with the green one, which you choose by turning left. Later, a smaller footpath to the left is leading down to the burn – if you would like to make a wee detour.
Walking along the green path, you will see a bench to your right after a few minutes. It is time to turn on your GPS then. Despite the trees the signal should be quite acurate, so the cache is easy to find.
When your quest is fullfilled, you might still want to complete your walk: The green signposts are marking a circuit around the hill, which takes just another couple of minutes.
Turning back, the green signs lead you directly back to the car park.
Have fun and enjoy the scenery
