Trapper's Trail extended for 425 miles along the eastern base of
the Rocky Mountains, connecting a string of trading posts. Fort
Laramie ( 1834 ) at the north end and Bent’s Old Fort (1833) on the
south end. The trail was developed by the trappers and traders
(1820 - 1846) and used by many to travel between the two forts.
