Geocache Description:

This is number 18 in a series of historical points within Douglas County Colorado.

Trapper's Trail extended for 425 miles along the eastern base of the Rocky Mountains, connecting a string of trading posts. Fort Laramie ( 1834 ) at the north end and Bent’s Old Fort (1833) on the south end. The trail was developed by the trappers and traders (1820 - 1846) and used by many to travel between the two forts.

The plaque that was at the top of this marker seems to come and go, so the requested information needed to log the cache has been changed.

The plaque stated that the marker was placed by the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to the town of Castle Rock on November 22, 1997
