Another interesting area with a total contrast between two headlands, Diamond and Crowdy, but connected by a magnificent long beach with several good picnic spots and an abundance of wild flowers and bird life.
From this vantage point you can see the 14.8 km long Crowdy Beach which is the longest on this section of coast. It starts at the rocks that barely separate it from Kylie Beach and runs to the south west, until 4 km from Crowdy, it begins to curve in lee of Crowdy Head and actually faces north west hard up against the Head. The beach is accessible in the north at Kylie, Mermaid and Fig Tree car parks, then its a detour to the south and a car park at Crowdy Head Surf Club. The Club was formed in 1956 to provide safe bathing for the Harrington-Crowdy residents.
The cache is a 480 ml container, which has been camouflaged.
