As we often do, Secret Squirrel and I headed into Namadgi to pick up another cache and to place a cache or two to highlight the wonders of this fantastic area. Today's outing took in the very picturesque upper cotter valley and cotter river. This cache is one of the trio of cotter caches placed today - reflecting the valley, river, and river crossing. This area should be accessed on foot (push-bikes are not permitted in the catchment area), but access can be gained from a number of directions. We travelled by bike from the Orroral carpark to the start of the Alpine walking trail, then hiked in past split rock and coronet peak. then back out along the cotter hut road. Quite a distance but well worth the effort. I hope you enjoy this great area as much as I do - and bring your friends! FTF: Congratulations to mtbikeroz
