Onhan niitä pelattu, toisia enemmän, toisia vähemmän. Erilaisia. Eri nimisiä. Eri pituisia - toisten seurassa viihtyi kerrallaan puoli tuntia, toisten seurana koko kesän (eikä oikein piisannutkaan). Joitakin pelattiin yhden kaverin kanssa, useimpia neljän tai viiden. Joitakin pelattiin viimeksi kymmenen vuotta sitten, joitakin viime kuussa.
Joistakin peleistä tuli ostettua suomenkielinen versio, useimmista englannikielinen. Teini-ikäisen ja hiukan vanhemmankin pojan kielitaitokin siinä karttui.
Joillakin peleillä oli yksinkertainen nimi, toisilla monimutkaisempi. Mutta unohdetaan tällä kertaa ne "2nd edition"it, "advanced"it ja muut vastaavat versiosta kertovat niistä nimistä. Ja kieli on englanti.
Yksi asia on varmaa: hauskaa niiden kanssa oli.

Yes, we have played them along the years. Some more, some less. Different kinds of games. Different names. Different playing times - some took half an hour, some took the whole summer, and it still wasn't enough. Some were played with a friend, most with four or five friends. Some were last played ten years ago, some last month.
Some games were in Finnish, most in English. A teenage boy and later a young man sure learned the language reading their rulebooks.
Some had simple and short names, some had complex names. But this time, let's forget the "Advanced", "2nd edition"s and all such referring to versions of the game. And the language is English.
One thing is certain: we had fun.
