Geocache Description:

A small magnetic cache on a very large piece of steel!

The Glebe at Bowness has always been a hub for tourists visiting this area. In June 2012 the Olympic Torch spent the night here, which was also the launch of the Cultural Olympics. The old wooden bandstand was replaced in 2005 by local Sculpturer and Architectural Metalworker Chris Brammall. His other work that have caches on them are Miles without stiles at Staveley and Skelwith force bridge to name but a few.
