This cache requires a ferry ride to Fort Delaware, costing $11 ($10
for seniors and children under 12). GZ is next to the sea wall, in
a public area on a flat grassy field.Please check web site to see
hours of ferry crossing. Furry dose not run in the winter months.
Cache is available only when the Fort is officially open (no
personal watercraft).
A non-camoflaged food container, Head to the NE side of Pea Patch
Island,Find the path along the sluice way.Enjoy seeing the birds
and fish in the man made waterway.Look for the sluice gate and the
#5N and you will be almost there The cache containing log book,
pencil, small swag, and an albino crow feather,and additional swag
I purchased at the Fort Delaware Gift Shop. Always look for wild
things living in any hole you stick your hand into. Enjoy going
back in time.
The fort is open Saturdays in May, and weekends and holidays from
Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. It is also open
Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from June 15 through September
5.
