11 of 16 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Tunemanrf: I’ve kept this going for River Cacher. But, with the modern times with Corona, I can’t keep going out to maintenance these. Time to archive. The final can be claimed by any that find it. Just the pre steps are archived.

Geocache Description:

This is a fast and easy grab. This cache has a log only. The location of this cache has a view to a dome shaped building and I have always wondered the history behind it and while I was placing the cache I had a muggler walk up and started asking questions and he was wearing a scout uniform so I explained to him on what I was doing and he told me the story of the dome getting moved here from Northern Canada in the 60's and it was to be turned into a house. The metal structure is a cement form for a tunnel and stands 80 feet tall and was going to have 5 story's and be a total green environment style home but the wife and husband were fighting on which way to place the dome and while the wife was out of town the husband poured the cement forms and set it in place to the husbands liking and there it sits still to this day. They have both passed on and a new owner has the place and he even got to buy the original plans for the house with a pool in the basement so lets see if it looks the same for years to come. It was a great pleasure meeting this muggler that walked down to the cache from a distance away and I hope to see him soon on the caching trails and events as I had a brochure that explains it all to him to learn.
