Geocache Description:

Swashel down your tent pegs, buckle your sleeping bags and get ready to board the good ship Carry On Camping... it may be a bumpy voyage!!

Avast ye swarthy geocampers, Captain BooBeard, LongJo Silver & Pegleg Pete welcome you with a yo ho ho and a barrel of rum to this years Carry On Camping event in Devon!!!

The event will be from Friday 8th June to Sunday 10th June 2007.

We are holding this years event at the Plume of Feathers pub in Princetown. This is a pub / carvey with a camping site at the back. There is room for upto 75 tents and also approximatley 10 motorhomes. (Caravans are not permitted - sorry!!). There is no electrical hook up (so everyone will have to go au naturale so to speak!!) The cost of the camping is £6.50 per adult per night and £3.75 per child (up to the age 14) per night. Dogs are free (and well behaved doggies are allowed in the pub - hooray!!)

To book your place please put a note on this page (so we know to expect you!) and call Pat at the Plume of Feathers on 01822 890240 quoting the reference "Geocaching Weekend".

The theme of this years event is Pirates (if you hadn't worked it out!). Therefore on Saturday night's BBQ we will expect everyone to turn up in full fancy dress (we may even award a prize for the best costume!!). As is always the case with our BBQ we will supply the food - however we welcome the donations of any burgers and buns! Both campers and day visitors are welcome to the BBQ.

On Sunday we will be having a drink in the pub at lunchtime, before we depart the area and the event (boo hoo!). Once again day vistors are more than welcome to come along to this drink.

So me hearties, get your camping gear ready and start praying for sunshine!!
