The cache is placed 'high and dry' above the tide line nestled in a Casuarina tree overlooking the mangroves. However you won't need to climb in order to reach the black Sistema container housing a log, pencil and small swaps. Be careful of the thorns at GZ.
Australia’s mangroves have the fourth highest species diversity of any country, after the Philippines, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. Mangrove forests provide breeding nurseries for a wide range of fish and crustaceans. Many terrestrial fauna, such as insects, reptiles, frogs, birds and mammals, use mangroves for food, shelter, breeding and feeding grounds. Estuarine Crocodiles are found in mangrove forests in the north so be alert.
Bushland Beach is part of the Northern Beaches area. One of the fastest-growing suburbs in Townsville, Queensland. Fishing, swimming and water activities are popular and at low tide you can walk to an old wooden shipwreck. The beach is well serviced by a small shopping complex, a pub, playgrounds, skatepark, barbecue facilities and a boat ramp. The ridge running along Goicoechea Drive is popular for exercise and provides stunning 360 degree views from Cape Cleveland to the Palm Island Group and inland towards Mt Stuart.
Congratulations to Karicka for being the FTF.
