On August 16th, 2018, Fort Abercrombie State Park will be the host of Kodiak's finest opportunity to meet and greet fellow cachers from here and around the world! Creeky Clan Chris and Autumn Rain are visiting this wonderful wilderness from Nanaimo, British Columbia and wanted a chance to get the inside scoop on Kodiak caching.
Time: 7:00pm to 8:00pm
Location: Miller Point, Fort Abercrombie
Things to Do: Chat with fellow cachers; munch from a selection of sweet treats; swap Geocoins, Travel Bugs and caching stories; visit a few nearby caches; check 'Event Cache' off of your summer-to-do list!
Parking at Fort Abercrombie State Park is $5.00/vehicle.
There is a (somewhat blurry) full map of trails out to the meet-up point - Miller Point - available here: http://dnr.alaska.gov/parks/units/kodiak/ftabermap.htm
The meet-up will run in the evening so that those who are working have a chance to attend, but not so late that kids have to make bargains respecting bedtimes.
Looking forward to seeing you there!
