Come out and join your fellow GGA members at the Arabia Mountain Everett Property for a CITO event along the shoreline of the South River. When the river runs high, lots of trash can be left behind at this location, so let's clean it up! Trash and recycling bags will be provided. Water will also be provided. You are highly encourged to dress for a hike and a CITO, and to bring gloves if you so desire.
The posted coordinates are for the parking area at the Everett Property. The CITO site is about a 1/2 mile hike down the river. From the posted coordinates, follow the trail/road with the pink blazes until you make your way to the cleanup area waypoint. Parking is extremely limited, so if you know a few of your geocaching friends are going to also attend, please park at one of the alternative parking coordinates (waypoints provided) and carpool.
The only requirement for joining the GGA is attending one of our events, so if you've never attended one, come on out and join us! This event will also qualify for a digital CITO souvenir for your geocaching.com profile. Permission to host this event has been granted by Robby Astrove, Park Ranger for DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs.
