What are the must-see places for geocachers?
The Headquarters in Seattle?
Land's End in Cornwall?
One of the three still active APE caches?
Europe's First GC43 in Ireland?
Various confluence points?
Original Stash Tribute Plaque GCGV0P?
The Royal Observatory Greenwich and the meridian line is definitely one of those special places for us. Without coordinates our common hobby Geocaching would not exist. That's why we are hosting our Community Celebration Event right here.
We would like to share the joy of visiting this place with you. We are curious which special places you could already visit...
We are looking forward to seeing geocachers from London, England, United Kingdom and the rest of the world.
CachingFoX and Waldkauz1977
from Germany / Bavaria / Franconia / Nuremberg / Lauf a.d. Pegnitz / N 49° 31.575′ E 11° 20.507′
We meet at the Statue of General James Wolfe in the freely accessible area.
The courtyard with the famous primar meridian can be visited between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm. There is an entrance fee. More information can be found on the Net.
Fun fact: the true prime meridian is located about 100 meters east of the meridian line. Try to find the zero line with your GPS device and upload a photo of it.
