Ghost Park Traditional Cache

This cache is located at an abandoned waterpark about 9km from the city center. It’s a beautiful place, with attractions, buildings and villa’s taken slowly taken over by the jungle, spiders, lizards and birds. If you let your imagination run wild here, you could think you have just landed into an episode of The Walking Dead. Please note the maintenance on the park is none, so be careful exploring and climbing the attractions...  

The waterpark opened in 2004, abandoned somewhere around 2006 and cost around USD 3 million to build. It is built around a big lake with several attractions and some villa’s in the forest and jungle around it.

It used to be guarded and one could get away just giving some coffee money to the guard, but in 2025 they have made this into a somewhat tourist attraction and you can drive right up to the lake. They apparently charge VND50.000 entrance but for some unknown reason they haven't done it with me yet. There is pathways, a bicycle rental place and some drinks for sale. One can now only walk or bicycle the park. You can start walking from the parking near the lake from where you can walk to the dragon, the villas and the water sliding attraction. If you continue to walk to the Northern part you will get to flight simulator, managers office, fountain show and small area with some art type displays.   

The dragon structure holds an aquarium, and has a beautiful viewing point in its mouth. Apparently crocodiles have been living around there up until the end of 2015..  

There is muggles so be careful.. We believed we saw a person looking at us, behind a bush, but couldn't see him once we approached the bush..
