Geocache Description:

Quick park and grab in the suburbs. Please be mindful of other houses and residents. Although very near other houses, not on private property, and you won't even need to get on the grass for this cache. Definently, you could reach it from the road. Stealth is required!

A quick micro, not as much in an urban area, but with plenty urban areas nearby! Cache is a micro, log only, BYOP.

One aspect of why this is an "oasis" is because the very sport of Platform Tennis was invented right here, in Scarsdale. Platform tennis was invented here, a similar sport to "paddle tennis", in 1928, by James Cogswell and Fessenden Blanchard. Quite an enjoyable game, the sport has almost all the same rules as regular tennis, but you are playing almost in a "cage", and balls can be hit off the walls. The racquets are smaller, and volleying is a much more important part of this version of tennis. Having played it a lot myself, it's a great sport. Many say platform tennis was invented in the courts just down the street, at the Fox Meadow Tennis Club, also adjacent from TMP Quest 6 (Epilogue). Nevertheless, history remains here with paddle tennis, and these courts are found often throughout the town.

Enjoy the cache! I'm around here often, so keep an eye out! Good luck!
