How Geocaching Works

Geocache Description:

This cache is located on a plateau, which would have overlooked Parabaun Lough before the Forestry planting many years ago.

On a good day, the views are impressive over the Forest Park and the nearby transmitters tower over the horizon. Being not far off the highest elevation in Navar, visibility can become a bit of an issue here on a miserable day. The hike from the parking is short - although steep. Be aware of hidden holes, deep drainage ditches and the cliff edge when you reach the summit.

The cache is a small tupperware container containing, when placed, a few small goodies and a small FTF prize. It is in plain sight, but retrieving it will not be so easy. We have attached something to the cache to aid you so please use this instead of taking any risks. It may be advisable to have a buddy for this one.

Disclaimer:
This cache requires you to venture very close to the cliff edge, but note, you DO NOT need to descend at any stage. As should be the case for any cache, (especially those with a higher rating) if you are unsure of your abilities at any stage, then don't continue. You are responsible for your actions in every eventuality. Attempting the cache is acceptance of your responsibility. As with all geocaches, cache seekers assume all risks involved in seeking a cache and this is outlined in the geocaching.com disclaimer.
