Geocache Description:

Second in a series of caches to take you to little known settlements in Cattaraugus County.

A Hamlet is a small settlement, too small to be considered a village. The name 'hamlet' comes from the diminutive of a Germanic word for an enclosed piece of land or pasture.

Brooklyn is one of these. All I can find out about it is that it has a cemetery (behind a home on Utley Road - just off Hammond Hill Rd),and a church at the present time. Locals still call it the "Brooklyn Church". I also have heard that at one time mail intended for this Brooklyn N.Y. was sent to the other Brooklyn N.Y. by mistake. It's hard to believe that the area needed a post office.

This is a cache and dash. Bring your oun pen. Park saftly. I have permission to place the cache where it is.

Congrats to TrackcoachH on FTF!
