This will be a series of caches highlighting the heritage of the I&M Canal. All caches will be accessible from the trail and access points along the trail.
Accurracy may be affected by the trees.
The 5 mile bridge was so named because it was 5 miles from the city limits of Morris. The " Old Stage Road" crosses the canal at this point. Old Stage Road was a route from Chicago to LaSalle Illinois during the 1800's and before that it was an old Indian Trail.
Enjoy the history of the area, the wildlife and the wildflowers while on the I&M Canal.
