Hidden under some rocks on a rocky ledge
Pretty remote spot – you’ll need to be careful driving here, particularly for the last few miles. Placed this in mist, with the sea barely visible but thundering only a few feet away. As we couldn’t see more than a few yards, it may not be terribly well hidden, but hopefully folks who make it up here won’t have a vandal streak in them.
Hid the Traveller Cuckoo Cache-in-a-Cache 209467 here at the same time. Didn’t take any pictures – a mixture of forgetfulness and the mist.
There’s a lighthouse-cum-tearoom up here (the Restaurant at the End of the World?) but we didn’t go in as it was past its closing time. I think it’s only open Tuesdays and Thursdays, but take local advice.
If camping, I can recommend the Sands Holiday Centre a couple of miles out from Gairloch.
Look out for sheep!
