In 2003 a walking track was constructed that extended from Tipperary Flat to the Tarong turn off.
An interpretive sign at the start of the track recognises the history of the Bunya tree and the original inhabitants of Nanango. The track passes ‘Hannibal’ the first Tarong Coal Dragline Bucket. The material lifted by the bucket during its ten year lifespan would fill 800,000 backyard swimming pools.
