Geocache Description:

The last of 4 caches in the series “Corlette Hilltop Caches”, which are all located in the bushland of this suburban part of beautiful Port Stephens. They are roughly in order of difficulty. This cache is near a fire trail

I have rated this the hardest of the four (though all are reasonably easy) as you will need to think carefully about the best access point to the fire trail (the name gives a hint). This area of bushland reserve is criss-crossed by several fire trails. If you find the right one, you will have only about a one kilometre round trip through some great bush, again with a large stand of Gymea lilies. However, if you find the wrong one, you may have quite a hike. That is why it is not recommended for small children. As with all caches placed in the bush, take care with snakes and spiders. It is a good idea to take a gardening glove to poke your hand into rocks and crevices and other hiding places in the bush. Extra note 2022: This cache is rather exposed and in the past has sometimes been flooded. The cache is now nested in 3 containers. Please replace the cache with the outermost container with the lid on the bottom to allow excess moisture to drain away
